Been a while since I have had time to do a proper update, and I apologize. Work has been real busy, and I had
to wind up buying a new computer in the last few months. However, I should get around to regulary monthly updates
again as time goes on. I still have a few tracks of Castlevania - Symphony of the Night to get posted, and I
am also starting to upload some tracks from Final Fantasy X. Also, in the near future, expect to see some music
from Xenosaga I and II as well as Castlevania - Lament of Innocence. |

Starting in a few days, the login and password for the MP3 page will be posted on the message board, which can be found at this location. It takes me less time to simply post the login and password on the message board than it does to modify the main page and re-upload it everytime I change it. You do not need to register or anything in order to view the password. Just simply visit the message board, and the second topic says Login / Password for the MP3 Page. This is where the password will be posted from now on. If you have trouble finding the login or password, I would suggest that you reread this paragraph. |

Today is the 8th year anniversary of Aganazzar.com! On July 4th, 1996, I was at a friend's house, and between eating some barbeque chicken and ribs and drinking beer, he was working on his webpage. I told him I was interested in starting a website, and with his help, the original code was written. There was not much on the original site, just some facts and information about Mississippi (where I lived at the time) and some meaningless information about who I was. The first Video Game MIDI files were not added until about six months later, and the first Video Game MP3 files about six months after that. Eight years later, and I am still around, and still trying to provide you the best selection of Video Game Music. With some luck, Aganazzar.com will be around to celebrate many more anniversaries. |
I uploaded some new files to the MP3 and SPC sections today. The update included 15 new MP3s as well
as 30 new SPC files. |
I am planning an update to the MP3 and SPC sections of the pages for June 18th, 2004. This update will include anywhere from 15 - 20 new MP3s as well as around 30 new SPC files. The music files in this update will include themes from Castlevania IV, Sonic the Hedgehog, Lufia 2, and Diablo 2, to name a few. The password feature is active again, and as always, the login and password will be displayed on the main page, at the bottom of the "Recent Updates" box. The password is necessary to prevent people from linking to the MP3 files, which drives up my bandwidth. |
After a few years abscence from the internet (due to being shut down for excessive bandwidth), Aganazzar.com is back online. Everything that was here in 2001 is still here, and with the expanded webspace and bandwidth that I have available with my new host, I will be planning some new updates in the near future. |
I have received a few emails from my hosting provider warning me of my bandwidth usage. I have been exceeding my bandwidth on a sporadic basis for the last few months. I may have to resort to changing the password more often, or just designating days where no files can be downloaded. Otherwise, it appears Aganazzar.com will be shut down ... again. |
Slowly but surely, I am getting all the files uploaded to the new server. As of today, all the MIDI and SPC files are now uploaded, and ready for download. Currently, I have about half of the MP3 files uploaded. (It takes a while to upload 400+ MB worth of MP3 files, so please be patient, as I am uploading them as fast as I can.) Hopefully, by the end of the weekend, I should have all the MP3 files uploaded, and ready for everyone to download again. As far as what happened over the past few days ... To make a long story short, the company that has been hosting my domain for the past 3+ years decided to shut down rather abruptly. I got no warning whatsoever. It took me a few days to get my domain transferred to a new host, and thus, since I switched hosts, I have to reupload all my files. For the time being, all banner making is ON HOLD until further notice. Between my PhD Cummulatives (which I am taking right now) and having to upload all these files, I am keeping pretty busy. Also, once I get all the MP3 files uploaded, I will once again be password protecting the MP3 directory. As always, you can get the current password on this page. Just scroll down to the bottom of the "Recent Updates" box to get the login and password for the MP3 files. |
As I am sure many of you have noticed, aganazzar.com has been experiencing some technical difficulties over the past few days. In a few days, I will explain everything that happened. The domain itself was down for about 5 days, and my mail server was down for about 6 days, so if you emailed me, I did not get it. Also, all of the files are my site are not currently online. Mainly the MIDI and the MP3 sections are not currently up. So, if you try to download a MIDI or MP3, you will get a message saying it is not there. I am working to fix this problem as quick as I can, and all the files should be available again in a few days. Thank you for your patience. (PLEASE DO NOT email me telling me the MP3 files are not there ... I am aware of the problem, thanks.) |
The critics all agree, the new short story, "A Pissing Good Time", is a must read article. This story is about an ill-fated trip to Jazz Fest in New Orleans back in May of 1998. After all, how would you feel if you wound up spending over 16 hours in the slammer on your vacation? Trust me, reading "A Pissing Good Time" is worth the few minutes it will take you. In other news, I am still working on the Atari 800 XL PC section, I should be posting those pages sometime around the first of October. |
In the coming weeks, I am going to be adding an entirely new section to my site. This section will be devoted to the very first personal computer I ever owned ... The Atari 800 XL PC. This computer was first sold to the public around 1984, and in my opinion, the success of the Atari 800 XL PC and its rival, the Commodore 64, is what spurred the technological revolution in home computing, and look where we are today. I still have my Atari 800 XL PC, and it still works to this day. Apparently, there are a great many people out there who share my love of that archaic computer system, and I am going to develop this new section to not only cater to them, but also for all the other people out there that never had a chance to experience one of the first generations in home computing. |
I added some new banners to the Banner Pages today. For those of you requesting banners, the more details you give me, the better I can make your banner. I currently have some projects in the works for the page, and in the coming weeks, I will be adding some new Mississippi material to the pages. If possible, I also plan to add an SPC update in the next few weeks, so be on the look out for that. |
As promised, today, I have added two new pages to the "Critique of Mississippi" section. The first one is a Redneck Valentine Poem, which resonates Mississippi. The second article is the "Mississippi Census 2000" form, and it appears to be pretty accurate. Also, I am now making banners again. If you would like a banner for your website, visit the Free Banners section and have a look over my previous work. Remember, the more details you give me when you describe what you would like me to make, the better I can make it the way you want. |
I am doing some minor cosmetic HTML work, and updating some pages that I have not updated in years. I have updated the "About Me" page, and I am planning on adding some SPC files in the coming weeks. I also have some new anti-Mississippi projects in the works, and I assure you that they will be in the same spirit of my prior Missisisppi Pages. I am also adding some new graphics, and phasing out some of the older ones. |
Sorry for the lack of updates. Real life issues, coupled with problems with the company that hosts the site, have more or less eliminated any chances to update the site in the last few months. Anyhow, enjoy the files that are available, and thanks, as always, for visiting aganazzar.com. |
If you have signed up for the mailing list in the past, you need to resign up. I had to create a new list. The only time I send out an email is when I update the page, (about once a month). So, if you want to know when I update the page, enter your email address. Your email address will be kept private and will ONLY be used to send updates. |
There IS a God! Finally, the password feature is working again, which means everyone can now download the MP3s again from my site. The password is at the bottom of the "Recent Updates" box, below what you are reading now. Happy downloading! |
Okay, I talked to the admins this week, and with some luck, the password for the MP3 page will be fixed by the end of the week, which means everyone can start downloading files again. Also, I have an MP3 and SPC update planned for October. Included in the update will be MP3 files from Final Fantasy VII and Final Fantasy VIII. As for as the SPCs, I have some more files from Castlevania IV to upload. Thanks for your continued patronage to my site. |
Yes, I realize the password for the MP3s is not working. There is nothing I can do about it at the moment, as the problem resides with the password utility on the server. I have contacted the server admins about it, and they are doing what they can to fix it, so just be patient. |
Finally, I got the new MP3 and SPC update up, and a week earlier then posted on my webpage. In this new update, I added some excellent symphonic tracks of the original Actraiser, and also some excellent tracks from Final Fantasy V. The SPC update contains some tracks from Castlevania IV and Final Fantasy V. I hope everyone enjoys this long overdue update, and I will try for the next update in early August. Thanks for your patronage, as always. It is you, the visitors, that keep this page up and running. |
The provider hosting aganazzar.com is still going through some problems. They are replacing their hardrives one by one, and my account uses up over 500 MB of space on their machines, so it looks as if there will be some more downtime coming up. They are planning the server to be replaced sometimes around July 10th, so aganazzar.com will likely be down that day. I will try my best to get the new MP3 update on time. |
The past two months have been horrible for me. I have had almost no free time, and the provider hosting aganazzar.com has gone through some changes, which have affected my ability to update the page and upload new MP3 files. I am working with them as best as I can to rememdy the situation. For those that wanted the Chrono Trigger Zeal Palace MP3, is has finally been uploaded, and I am working on getting a new update uploaded. Just be patient, and bear with me. |
Sorry for taking so long to update the page. Between school and a few other things, updating the page has been somewhat difficult. Everyone who requested a banner since February, I still have your emails, and I am going to start work on them this weekend. The next update to the MP3 and SPC sections will be the first weekend in May. Expect to see 15 new MP3s and 15 new SPCs added to the page. (Also, the Chrono Trigger "Zeal Palace" file will be fixed by tonight.) |
Due to circumstances beyond my control, mainly, my computer being scrapped because the OS crashed, this update is a little late. (Besides, it was time to totally overhaul my computer anyway.) Anyway, this update features excellent samplings of the music from Final Fantasy V, which was never released in the United States, as well as some wonderful symphonic arrangements of Actraiser I. I also added 15 more files to the SPC page. Please remember to only download one file at a time, and thanks for your patronage. |
Okay, the SPC update went up today, and in it are 15 files from 4 different games including Casltevania IV, Final Fantasy III, Zelda III, and Mega Man VII. Due to time and resources constraints, there will not be an update to the MP3 page until mid-February. However, the update I have planned for the MP3 page will include some exceptional tracks from Final Fantasy V. I have not gotten any feedback on the SPC page. Is anyone downloading from it? If so, do the files sound alright? Drop me a line and tell me how you like the SPC files. |
Well, in comes 1999, and soon to follow will be the debut of the Video Game SPC Archive. Hopefully, by the time I plan to put the page up I will have about 50 or so SPC files to allow for a pretty good variety of music for everyone to download. The MP3 page is still generating way more traffic then it needs to, and I still ask everyone to only download ONE file at a time to keep the strain on the servers low. Also, please notify me if you see a page out there that is linking directly to the MP3 files on my domain. Other then that, I wish everyone well in 1999. |
Next month's update to the MP3 page will feature tracks from Final Fantasy V. This game was never released in America, and what a shame; it is much better then Final Fantasy III could ever hope to be, in my opinion. Like the other games in the Final Fantasy series, the music from part five is simply superb, and I am looking forward to getting next month's update posted. I please ask that you only download ONE file at a time from the MP3 Archive. People downloading multiple files at a time puts a strain on the server, and I would like for everyone to get a chance to download the files I have to offer. |
I am working on a new Video Game Music page, which should be unveiled after the first of the year. It will be an SPC Archive. For those not familair with SPC files, they are the exact musical tracks from the games, and each SPC file is only 65k in size, so they are very small, and take almost no time to download. The next update to the Video Game MP3 Archive will be December 18th, and it will include tracks from Civilization II, Chrono Trigger, and symponic arrangements of Final Fantasy II music. |
Well, this is the first update I have done to the Video Game MP3 page in almost half a year, but it is well worth the wait. Chrono Trigger, Dragon Warrior II, Final Fantasy VII, and Final Fantasy Tactics MP3s were added. The next update should be on schedule for mid December, and there should be some more Chrono Trigger and Final Fantasy MP3s in that update. Please, only download one MP3 at a time from the page. This will save me some bandwidth and give other people a chance to download some of the new files without saturating the server. |
With people linking to the MP3 files on my webpage, I am running out of options on ways to control the bandwidth. I can either take down the page, which I do not want to do, or I can change the password every single day, which I do not have time to do. If you people out there want to see this page continue to stay up, I need YOUR help in finding out who is linking to the MP3 files on this page. If you visit another page, and you see a site that is linking to the MP3 files on my site, PLEASE email me so that I can get it taken care of. That is the only way this site will stay up. |
Well, the password seems to be working, but it is not working enough. Since I added the password feature, the bandwidth dropped off considerably, but it is still no where near where it needs to be. Hopefully, over the next few weeks it will come down some more. I am planning to add some new Chrono Trigger MP3s to the page in the next few weeks, so be looking out for those. |
In order to keep the Video Game MIDI and MP3 pages up, I have had to resort to password protecting the MP3 pages. The login and password will be posted to this page, in this box, and they will be changed every few days in order to keep people from linking to the pages. Hopefully, this will get some of the bandwidth levels down. It is either me password protecting the pages, or the domain being shut down for excessive bandwidth. |
The time I was dreading has finally come...aganazzar.com is in imminent danger of being shut down due to excessive bandwidth. The page is doing in excess of 1 gig of transfers per day, and some days, as much as 2 gigs. If it gets to the point where the page does a sustained 2 gigs / day, then they hosters will charge me 1500$ to keep the page up. I have already invested almost 1000$ into the hosting for aganazzar.com, and there is no way I can afford an additional 1500$. To that end, within the next month, I may have to password protect the MP3 and MIDI pages and control who I give the password too, because I am about out of options here. |
I apologize for this update being late, but circumstances beyond my control prevented me from getting it up on time. For the time being, updates to the MIDI section are on hold, as I am more or less out of MIDIs. One or two of the regulrs to the page are in the process of sequencing a few new ones, so within a month or two, I should be able to post a MIDI update. Enjoy the new MP3s added...They are damn good. |
Well, finals are over, and I have had some time to do some HTML here lately. Over the last few days, almost every single page of "Aganazzar's Place" has undergone a total overhaul, and I hope everyone likes the new look. I have spent about 20 hours redoing the HTML, and creating new images. In other news, the next updates to the Game MIDI and MP3s pages will be on schedule, which is May 18th, 1998. |
Sorry this update is late, but I have finals coming up, and I have been studying my ass off for them. 15 new Game MP3s were added, including some great tracks from Chrono Trigger, and Dragon Warrior. To the MP3 Song page, 203 new songs were added bringing the total to 781 songs. Bandwidth is extremely limited though, so good luck on being able to grab a song from the song page. |
The new MP3 update went up today, and 15 game MP3s were added for a total of 115 Video Game MP3s. The new MP3s added were from Chrono Trigger, and Final Fantasy VII, and they are some awesome tracks. In addition, about 40 MP3s were added to the song page. I hope everyone enjoys the new updates, and expect the next one to be in late April. |
The new MP3 update went up today, and 15 game MP3s were added for a total of 100 Video Game MP3s. To the regular MP3 page, 48 new links were added, bringing the total song MP3s to 524. All total, there are 624 MP3s now on the site, for a total of 1.98 gigs. Not bad at all. |
With the help of a few friends of mine, I am giving the page a small facelift through the addition of some new animated gifs. I encourage you to send me some feedback on the new look. In other news, the next update to the MIDI and MP3 sections will be in mid February. I am not sure on how many MP3s and/or MIDIs I will be adding in the next update. Stay tuned for details. |
Well, 1998 is here and I hope everyone had a great Christmas and a Happy New Year, and I wish everyone the best in 1998. As for me, I spent the last few days working on a new update for the pages, and it went up this morning. In this new update, which came to 30.0 MB even, we have 15 MP3 files, from great games such as Red Alert, Final Fantasy VII, Castleveania I, and many others. I hope everyone enjoys the update and the new files, and thanks for stopping by Aganazzar's Place. |
SNOW !! Today, Pearl, Mississippi, got over 7 inches of snow. The last time we had 7 inches of snow on the ground was 1929. I took some pictures of the snow covered city, and plan to put them on here next week. In other news, the update went up today, and here is what I added. 25 MIDIs to the MIDI page, including Warcraft I, and Final Fantasy VII. To the MP3 page, I added 15 new tracks, including some awesome Final Fantasy VII and Castlevania II songs. All total, 29.4 MB of new stuff was added today. This update took me a while to do, so I hope everyone enjoys it. |
Just wanted to let everyone know that I am going to be scheduling the next update to the MIDI and MP3 sections for December 15th. I will most likely be adding 25 MIDIs and 15 MP3 files as usual. Other then that, I am always looking for new material for my pages. If you have anything that you would like to see me add to my pages, please let me know. |
The update went up this morning, and here is what was added: On the MIDI page, 25 new MIDIs, including ones from Final Fantasy VII, and the Zelda Triology. On the MP3 page, 15 new MP3s including ones from Final Fantasy II, III, and VII, Metroid, and Zelda III. All total, 21.8 MB of new music files were added. In addition, I changed the image on the front of the page. The old dragon image had been up for over a year, and I just got tired of looking at it, so I made a new image. Lastly, I would like to wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving!! |
The reviews are in, and the new short story, "The Dog Who Could Not Wait" has been called hysterically funny, and a riot by those who have read it. It is a must read short story which continues in the humerous Mississippi-bashing tradition of the other pages under the Critique of Mississippi section. You can get to it by clicking on the link "The Dog Story." |
Allrighty, just a few changes this week. If you would like to recieve email when the page is updated, just put your email address in the blank, and hit submit. You will typcially recieve about 2 to 3 emails per month. I have scheduled my update for the MIDI and MP3 pages on Novmeber 25th. I am adding 40 new files total, 25 MIDI and 15 MP3. |
Within the next 2 weeks I am going to put up a good sized update. I plan on adding 25 more MIDIs, and about 15 new MP3 files. Included in this update will be files from Final Fantasy VII, Final Fantasy III, Castlevania III, Zelda III, and a few other games. I have also added a sponsor banner at the top of my page, in hopes of defraying some of the cost of the domain. Please show your support for my site by visiting my sponsor. After all, it is you, the visitors, who keep this site running. |
For those of you that were regular visitors of the page back in August, I apologize for the length of time it took me to get the page back up. My ISP, which shut down without notice, did not give me much of a chance to get relocated. So I had to go out on my own and find a spot for my pages, and I wound up purchasing a domain. With the new location, I have about 100 MB for my page, and I plan to do some large updates in the future. The extra space will allow me to add many more MIDI and MP3 files, and I am excited about the opportunities. |
Due to problems with the provider that hosts my page, there will be no new updates to the MIDI or MP3 sections in the next week or two. I am currently looking for another server on which to host my pages, and I may just go and buy a domain for myself. If I do that, I will be adding a full MP3 page with hundreds of songs. I will know something in the next week or two. |
This page looks best in Internet Explorer 6.0
